BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I, circa 170-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 34 mm, 16.95 g, 12 h). Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right, wearing Macedonian helmet adorned with bull’s horn and ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOΥ / EΥKΡATIΔOΥ The Dioskouri on horseback to right, each holding spear and palm branch; below to right, monogram. Bopearachchi série 6E, 29. Mitchiner 177ee. SNG ANS 465. A splendid, lightly toned example struck on a broad flan and with a superb portrait. Very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
